He's Jeff Saturday!
As the offensive center for the Indianapolis Colts, Jeff Saturday has been an anchor for one of
the most high-powered offenses in NFL history. Since 2000, when he became a full time starter,
Saturday has been the man snapping the ball to two-time NFL MVP QB Peyton Manning. During his
tenure with the Colts, he's been named to the Pro Bowl twice, to the Football Digest All-Pro
Team a few times and the AP NFL All-Pro team as well. He also played in an amazing 85 consecutive
games and started 75 in a row, which helped solidify him as the leader of a Colts line that is
considered to be one of the best in football. This biggest highlight of his career however, came
just last Sunday during the AFC Championship Game against his bitter rival, New England Patriots.
Though Saturday had played high school football, and was a star in the ACC playing for North
Carolina, he had never scored a touchdown. That all changed when he fell on a fumble in the end
zone, helping the Colts earn their first trip to the Super Bowl since moving to Indianapolis. Along
with a trip to the Big Game, Saturday also earned a check from BOB&TOM for $10,000 to give to his
favorite charity. Last year, the boys bet Saturday he'd never score a TD during a game which is
usually a safe bet for a lineman. But he did, and now B&T will have a little less cash to lose in the
casinos down in the Bahamas.
